- Attain monthly and annual performance objectives
for the store and the employees as set by management.
- Hires employees; trains employees to perform their
duties competently and safely; coaches, counsels employees
at appropriate times; conducts performance review
planning sessions at specified intervals; takes appropriate
corrective and disciplinary action with employees;
assures all EEOC and company employee policies are
followed.
- Monitors Whitehead Oil Company's drug free work
environment.
- Enforce all company standards, policies and guidelines,
in addition to all state and local laws concerning
the sale of tobacco, tobacco products, alcohol, pickle
cards, instant lottery tickets and powerball tickets.
- Fully understand and be able to perform the job
description for the position of customer service associate.
- Complete and balance all daily paperwork and deposits,
neatly and accurately according to company guidelines.
- Assures that all customers receive excellent service
including quick, tactful handling of complaints.
- Assures that buildings, equipment and grounds are
always clean and inviting; that all merchandise is
properly stocked, rotated and kept clean.
- Assures that employees follow all safety procedures;
conducts safety meetings and training; reports and
processes employee and customer personal injury and
property damage claims.
- Staffs store following company policies; assures
that utilities, supplies and services are used as
effectively as practical commensurate with safety
and excellent customer service.
- Assures that employees comply with company cleanliness,
grooming and uniform policies.
- Improves employee knowledge, efficiency and effectiveness
through the most effective communication. (i.e. memos,
store meetings, conferences)
- Assures that sales generated are at the highest
practical level.
- Monitors, cashier, vendor and customer activity
to discover theft or dishonesty.
- Maintains and reviews store security tapes on a
daily basis.
- Attains and maintains proper inventory levels to
fulfill customer needs and wants within company guidelines.
- Meets personal objectives as set by the Store Supervisor.
- Creates and maintains an environment that fosters
individual motivation, intiative, innovation and latitude
in achieving corporate and personal objectives.
- Any and all other duties assigned to this particular
position.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
or one to three months related experience and/or training;
or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must complete all training programs for customer service
associates and assistant managers.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety
rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure
manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers
or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in
all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions,
and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry
out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram
form. Ability to deal with problems involving several
concrete variables in standardized situations.
